Abstract: As a form favored by teenagers in Asia and around the world, animation is an effective bridge for cultural exchange and communication among various countries. Animation industry has become a key development filed which is attracting various countries’ attention currently. As a world-recognized "animation power", Japan has a sound and efficient business mode, but it is also faced with some impacts and challenges, such as new media, new technology, the exhaustion of professional talents and the reduction of children. In the process of learning from Japan, China's animation industry has gradually developed and expanded. It is becoming an important part to promote the development of cultural industry. In recent years, the accelerated development of animation IP has become one of its characteristics. This study will do the research of Chinese and Japanese animation industry, with methods of qualitative and comparative. Compare both of two counties’ industry business mode, current status. The mechanism and external environment can be shown though analysis. The point of view is that Japanese animation industry is searching for economic production mode. The benign circulation mechanism is a valuable experience of oversea market expanding. Back to China side, the government should enhance local and national supporting and guiding, and protect animation copyright. The targeted and forward-looking Suggestions and conclusions proposed in this study. It can not only provide an in-depth understanding of the animation industry in China and Japan, but also provide reference and beneficial enlightenment for the development of the animation industry in the world. It can also provide valuable experience and deficiencies promoting international animation industry development.
