Abstract: Of importance is the role of the endowment which is a devotion of assets or properties either in direct terms or by insinuation, for any charitable or religious object, or to secure any advantage and benefit to human beings (Mahamood, 2006). The purpose of this study is to explore and exhibit the importance and usefulness of endowment practice in sustaining necessary infrastructures or and amenities for the betterment of the beneficiaries at the higher institutions. However, ensuring the availability and sustainability of standardized health services at Khazar university through the application and implementation of the endowment system attracted the aims cum objectives of this study. Undoubtedly, Khazar University is one of the world's fastest growing young universities. Obviously, the university strives endlessly to provide the services of the global standard to sustain the challenges of competing with other old and well-established universities around the world. The study is an exploratory type and applies phenomenological approach with the aims to parade the concept of endowment and how it has been utilized at many world-class universities to provide and sustain necessary facilities at their various higher institutions. As the result of the exploration in this study proposes the implementation of an endowment to stakeholders of Khazar University to upgrade the health and medical services at the university to the advanced level. The study highlights the practical experience of endowment-based universities in different part of the world which include, Al-Azhar University in Egypt, a university in Spain known as University of Cordova, IIU- Islamic University of Indonesia, universities under Turkish foundation, the King AbdulAziz University, and many universities in Malaysia of which the present study extracts the International Islamic University Malaysia.
