Abstract: The objectives of this study are to know the strategies and procedures used by a teacher with ADHD students at Instituto de Problemas del Aprendizaje (IPA) in Bucaramanga, Colombia, and the teacher’s perspective towards these students. The participant was a teacher who works at IPA. The data collection instruments used were one interview and seven observations. After collecting the data, the information went through a process of analysis by coding and categorizing. The results were categorized into three groups of procedures: (1) How the teacher starts the class, (2) How she conducts it and (3) How she finishes it. In the first group, procedures such as activating previous knowledge or mentioning the topics for the class were evidenced. In the second group, detailed explanation and monitoring were some procedures recognized. Finally, in the third group, praising or scolding the students’ behavior, and telling them the next class topic were some other procedures identified to close the class. In addition, strategies such as visual aids, drills, and personalized attention were implemented in class. The teacher’s perspective towards ADHD students is positive, since she enjoys helping these students in order to see their improvement.
