Abstract: The first and current consumer protection act in Jordan came into force in 2017. The act was a necessity to complete the legislative package that governs the market, particularly the business to consumer transaction. This legislative step was very important despite the fact that it was introduced too late and contains many legal gaps on both form and context. The act needs a major review, which will be tackled in several research papers, but this paper is exclusively focusing on the consumer right to cancel the contract as one of the most significant method to provide consumer an efficient and adequate level of protection. This paper examines the reality of cancellation right in the Jordanian consumer protection act.
