Abstract: Urban morphology is the study of human settlements, their structure and the process of their formation and transformation. It is the study of urban forms, and the agents and processes responsible for their transformation, and that urban form refers to the main physical elements that structure and shape the urban tissues, streets (and squares), urban plots, buildings, to name the most important. The theme of urban form is very important in urban studies. Urban morphology is used within many fields of study and professional practices, such as; geography, urban design, city/ town planning, architecture, heritage and building conservations, landscape architecture, archaeology, anthropology, and urban history. In this study, the architectural and geographical dimension of urban morphology will be discussed to address the physical issues. The intent of this study is to present the typo-morphological analysis of Guzelyurt city in Northern Cyprus. This study first starts with analyses and discussion of the factors, which are the general location and historical background of Guzelyurt City. Then it analyzed the variables, land utilization, plan unit and the city components typology by town plan and townscape analysis. The selected area in this study includes a few neighborhoods in Guzelyurt city.
